Botox is a prescription-only medicine. Which means that you should first have a detailed face-to-face consultation with an experienced medical practitioner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During an in-depth consultation, the practitioner will discuss the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your Expectations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Your practitioner will discuss what you would like the treatment to achieve and which areas of your face you have concerns over. During your consultation, your practitioner might discuss alternative treatments that are more appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your Medical & Aesthetic History<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Medical history is an important part of the consultation. Your practitioner will discuss any medical conditions that you may have and if they pose any risk on the treatment. It is important for your practitioner to understand what previous aesthetic treatment you have had in the past before any treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Potential Risks & Side-Effects Of Having Botox<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s important that the risks and benefits are discussed before having treatment. At the extreme end, an allergic reaction to a wrinkle relaxing treatment could cause anaphylactic shock; however, this is extremely rare. More common side-effects include mild bruising, headache or slight swelling and these are often a result of the actual injecting and not the product itself. The Opportunity To Ask Questions<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the consultation you will be given ample opportunity to ask any questions and share any worries you have about the treatment. Feel free to ask as many questions as you want as there\u2019s no such thing as a \u2018silly question\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time To Make A Decision<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

With Unndoo, whilst we offer a consultation-only appointment our treatment appointment also comes with a consultation appointment, giving your practitioner an opportunity to deem you suitable for treatment and for you think through if you\u2019d like to proceed or not. There\u2019s not pressure at all, we just want to make sure you\u2019re 100% happy to proceed and understand everything. You even have a 2-week window to think through whether you\u2019d like to proceed with the treatment or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aftercare Advice<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

You will be advised by your practitioner verbally on what you should do to ensure your treatment is as effective as possible. This information has also been provided via email for your reference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sign The Consent Form<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The last step before going ahead with treatment is to sign a consent form. One of our experts will talk you though the consent form and give you time to read it through before the treatment. Treatment takes place once the consent form has been signed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
